| [NYP] A young New Orleans police officer has died days after undergoing a Brazilian butt lift and complaining of "extreme pain" following the risky cosmetic procedure. Wildelis Rosa, 26, told her family she was traveling from New Orleans to Miami for her birthday in March, but not that she planned to undergo the nip-and-tuck operation, her older sister, Anamin Vazquez, told NBC6. Rosa — who was also a US Army Reservist who had just come back from deployment in Kuwait — had her pre-operative blood work done at Prestige Plastic Surgery Clinic in South Florida on March 19, and the following day, doctors removed fat from 12 areas around her body and injected it into the buttocks. |

| #4 Oh, tw, you have no idea (nor should you). One of my favorite post-Katrina vignettes involves pedaling across the park (unusually peaceful on what we'll assume for effect to have been a weekend afternoon (pre-K, it might've put you in mind of the Boko sack of a Borno village with battling rapmobiles soundtrack)) and pulling up to the Circle K to find a cop car parked out front (slightly unusual) with two cops in it (also kinda unusual), both very young "black" women who could've been Wildelis's prettier little cousins (extremely unusual). One of them -- let's call her Toody -- was literally working on her nails (though not, sadly, her toenails) as Muldoon literally flipped through a copy of Essence. "You musta just got robbed or something, huh?" Clerk (an actual black woman who looked like she could handle three or four of the powerful pieces of manpower outside) just rolled her eyes. Still sitting there when I passed back by half an hour later. |

| #2 I don't understand this. Oughtn’t someone on the police force, not to mention the military, invest in martial arts straining of some sort? Anything except boxing will include kicks, and back kicks, like ballet, gymnastics, and a full weight machine circuit, work the glutes, which results in a muscular bottom — with much less pain and risk than going under the knife. |
