Iran Has Placed a $40 Million Bounty on President Trump

[REDSTATE] Iran, the world's foremost state sponsor of terrorism, despite having its nuclear weapons program disassembled by Israeli and American explosives, is still run by the mullahs. And those mullahs' mouths are still writing checks their butts can't cash.

In the latest, Iran has now placed a $40-plus million bounty on President Trump.

An Iranian movement has reportedly raised more than $40 million for the assassination of President Donald Trump, as the country's senior religious clerics make clear that "every cell of the resistance in the West is charged with carrying out this sentence."

Iranian leaders recently issued two death warrants, or fatwas, against Trump and deemed him an "enemy of Allah" who must be killed. Those calls prompted the creation of a new organization dubbed the "Blood Covenant," which claims to have raised nearly $40.3 million for the president's assassination, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

Oh you sweet summer child. Some were among the thousands picked up in the arrests over the weeks immediately after 9/11. Or were among the thousands more who fled the country when President Bush announced shortly thereafter that all Moslem men would have to register with the government — it turns out that a great many small businesses were summarily deserted by Moslems from the Middle East and South Asia who had illegally overstayed student and visitor visas over the previous two decades or so. There were lots of sob stories like this in the mainstream press about entire families waiting at the airport for flights to Canada or back to the olde countrie with offspring who knew nothing but the comfort and freedom of America, and more stories of Moslem men and their sons idling for months among rows of bunkbeds in ICE purgatory after turning themselves in, waiting for their paperwork to be checked while their womenfolk wailed helplessly in their living rooms or gave up and left.

But the other issue was projects like the Holy Land Foundation that financially supported terror elsewhere. And the third was the network of supporters and enablers of jihad, seen in organizations like CAIR and the Muslim Student Association, and mosques like the Denver Islamic Society, the Masjid Ar-Ribat al-Islami in San Diego, and the Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Northern Virginia, all of which turned out to be feeders for international jihad — at all three mosques Anwar al-Awlaki, the American-born head of Al Qaeda in Yemen had been an imam for the decade during which he pursued a secular education before turning to more active pursuits. There are quite a few other mosques across America and the West that are still highly connected to the international jihad network of which Al Qaeda is only one part.

We’ve been following all that closely here at Rantburg since Mr. Pruitt first posted on 9/11. The site archives contain tens of thousands of searchable articles on that and related subjects — as Hillel the Great said in a very different context, “Now go and study.”

Good thing we passed th PATRIOT Act severely lmiting our civil liberties to find them.
It's been 25 years and we'll never get our civil liberties back.
But sure, there are Iranian sleeper cells now.
Who's telling us this? The same intelligence agencies?
Or remember the Garland, TX "Draw Mohammed" contest where the FBI recruited its own shooter to keep support high.
