| [RedState] In liberal areas, it's not always clear that even if people are arrested, they will face real charges. And the cities don't always act to check such actions. In Portland, for example, things got so out of control that a resident sued the city to enforce the noise ordinances, so residents could sleep. She just wanted the city to do something so she could have some peace. But on Thursday, the police in Covington, Kentucky didn't hold back in responding to anti-ICE folks as they moved from Ohio into their town and state on a bridge. | #11 *shrug* Part of Greater Cincinnati is indeed in Northern Kentucky. Except during the Civil War, the Ohio River connects the two sides rather than dividing them. Across the river is where we go for alcohol in quantity, because the taxes are lower. The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport wS put in Kentucky because they had the acreage available at more reasonable price, and it was in the far side of the city versus Dayton International and Columbus International airports. |
