An interceptor missile was launched at the rocket, as it was initially expected to land in Israel. An alert was activated in open areas, and not in any towns. Israel says Hamas gunmen hit with drone in Khan Younis cemetery [IsraelTimes] An armed cell of gunmen who were spotted operating at a cemetery in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis last week were killed in a drone strike, the military says, publishing footage of the incident. The alleged Hamas operatives had been spotted at the so-called old cemetery in central Khan Younis by soldiers of the Kfir Brigade’s Haruv reconnaissance unit. The army says the gunmen “posed a threat to the troops operating nearby,” prompting troops to call in a drone strike against them. On their bodies, the IDF says, it later found assault rifles, RPGs, grenades and an explosive device. |
