[Regnum] Russian army units have virtually destroyed the personnel of the 53rd mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces deployed in the Serebryansky forest in the Luhansk People's Republic. TASS reported this on August 19, citing Russian security agencies.
"The 53rd separate mechanized brigade is falling apart in the Serebryansky forest. The brigade is practically destroyed and has lost its combat capability," the publication quoted the source as saying.
According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces command has already written off the remnants of the Ukrainian military, who are in the swamps and forests in the area of the Seversky Donets River.
Earlier, on August 19, Russian troops eliminated a platoon of the Ukrainian 93rd separate mechanized brigade "Kholodny Yar". The militants had taken up positions in the mine buildings and were blocked there. During the artillery and drone strikes, the reinforced concrete fortifications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the personnel located there were destroyed.
