Wreckage of Hypersonic Zircon gives more evidence the missile is weaker than thought |
2025-08-21 |
The missile Russia used in its strike on Sumy has been identified as a Zircon, according to Defense Express. This marks the 14th use of the hypersonic missile in the war, once again showing poor accuracy and a weak warhead. The launch was carried out from occupied Crimea, likely from the underground "Object-100" complex near Rezervne. Same as all "hypersonic" weapons Russia uses. Cold war ballistic missiles fired sidewise and to make that happen they have to make engineering changes, like lighten the warhead. |
