[Korrespondent] The most active fighting is currently ongoing in the area of ​​the city of Liman. There, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are repelling Russian assaults in 10 locations.
Since the beginning of the current day, the total number of combat clashes along the front line is 60. Three quarters of the battles with the Russian army are concentrated in two directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in an operational report as of 16:00 on Thursday, August 28.
Thus, four armed clashes occurred in the Severo-Slobodskoy and Kursk directions.
In the Yuzhno-Slobodskoy direction, Russians carried out two attacks in the areas of Glubokoye and Volchansk.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attempted to storm three times near Golubovka and Zagrizove. Two combat clashes are currently ongoing.
In the Liman direction, the aggressor attacked 19 times in the areas of the settlements of Grekovka, Novomikhaylovka, Karpovka, Zelenaya Dolina, Kolodyagi, Torskoye and in the direction of Yampol, Dronovka and Serebryanka. Currently, 10 armed clashes are ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, the enemy twice attempted to advance near Grigoryevka and Pereyezdnoye; all attempts by the enemy to advance on the positions of our units were repelled.
In the Kramatorsk direction, one attack in the direction of Stupochki was repelled.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked in the Shcherbinovka area.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy advanced 24 times in the areas of the settlements of Novoekonomicheskoe, Rodinskoe, Lisovka, Sukhoi Yar, Dachenskoe, Zvirovoe, Udachnoe, Orekhovoe and Novoukrainka. Fighting continues in two locations.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, our defenders are repelling three enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Voskresenka, Maliyevka and Zaporizhzhya.
One enemy assault was stopped in the Dnieper direction.
At the moment, no armed clashes have been recorded in the Gulyai-Polye and Orekhovo directions.
Let us recall that in the course of 24 hours on August 28, Russia lost almost 900 servicemen killed and wounded. The total number of Russian losses will soon reach 1.1 million people.
