Consequently, those guys have their dance card filled and the others, having watched the raving women on social media, have decided to seek their own peace. Social media may turn out to be the best birth control device this century.

#7 Hormonal birth control has huge mental effects on women that use them. In a study some years ago they found that women on the pill chose more beta type males and were a lot more emotional.

Woman that didn't liked the manly men and were more logical in their decisions.

Really explains the last 20 years, doesn't it?

#8 After Covid people should be asking questions. Especially when the pill is also sold as:
Even if you don't need it (young & healthy/not sxly active) you should take it because it makes life easier (can go to restaurants and airports/less painful periods).

I just have a hard time believing there are no other effects of having to take such a body altering hormone treatment, daily or else.

Questions have been whispered for a while now, even was talked around plot point of a Clive Cussler book, it is just that questions are being asked out loud now. Which answers given, if any, are up to the individual to judge as this is a personal medical decision.

#10 For some women, the birth control pill causes deep depression. For some of them, switching to a different brand is enough to fix the problem. For others, though, the depression can last months or even be permanent after they stop taking it. There are discussion groups on the subject all over the internet.

I know two young women so affected, about a decade ago — one was able to switch successfully, but the other struggled with suicidal ideation for a year after she stopped, and had to change gynecologists because the first one did not take the problem seriously. The new one was shocked she had been prescribed that particular formulation, as this is a well known problem for women who are anxious or mildly depressed.
