also the Democratic Party USA and its socialist affiliates in the EU could carry on that war

and of course, there is Islam itself

Why is there such a broad consensus in the Western political class that this militarily weak political movement should be preserved and appeased?

#5 Another issue is that the Trump 47 pro Qatar faction will try to sweeten the deal with security guarantees.

However such guarantees would be non binding and non enforceable mere declarations of intent.

Even assuming that Trump would keep these promises (which I do) there's the fact that a mere 3 1/2 years from now Trump will be out of office.
