#1 ...My wife has many friends in the LGBTQ community, and they know I'm former military. More than once I have been asked (and this must be said - always at the very least with politeness and respect) what I thought of the issue.

My response was always: let us assume you have a son, daughter, sibling or parent at a remote base during wartime. They are cut off from ground supply, and can ONLY be supplied by single aircraft, no more than once or twice a day. They are holding off - barely - attacks every day. They are getting JUST enough food, water, and ammo to hold on. Which of those absolute necessities do you take away from your child to bring medications (both physical and mental) to the TG personnel there?

Most of the answers came under the heading of, "I didn't realize", and a change of subject. Only one or two ever engaged it further.

#3 I served during the era when Don’t Ask Don’t Tell was implemented. I did not witness how the trans stuff swap rolled out. Not sure how they could loosen up the psych screening that wide and block anyone at all. Seems like that might contribute to the high suicide rate. Same goes for having trans folks TS clearance.

#4 The knowing imposition of individuals who will prompt adverse emotional and in some cases sexual reaction to a unit is generally harmful to unit morale and combat readiness. The senior command mindset that accepts that reflects a level of political acceptance that does not often translate into determines, aggressive, fearless leadership.

A decade of flag-rank officers now often reflects this after the intentional culling of traditional male leadership by the Obama/Biden minions I suspect!
