#2 Not everyone wants to stand at an open fire and boil cabbage all day. Which seems to be what they say is missing.
Scratch cooking requires a lot of gear (costs money, has to be cleaned), time (people gotta work), and practice (you'll do it wrong alot before you get it right).
There's a reason TV dinners sell.
