#6 The current trend of preaching so-called 'institutional racism' is not a myth or new-found trend. It has been the basis of 'liberation theology' and the engine of 'reckoning' for quite some time. There need be no denominational attribute, identity politics and perceived victimhood are the only necessary ingredients.

#13 I have no problem with churches voluntarily doing this, it may turn out to hurt them, or it might pull in more worshipers. I couldn't say.

I just hope they spend the money in their local black communities instead of just sending a check to BLM or Jessie Jackson.

#15 It's the beginning of imposition of a sort of jiziya tax on all whites. Every opinionated black power celebrity you can think of, from comedians to rappers to actors seems to be a closet sunni anyway.

People should just stop supporting churches if this sort of thing keeps up. Soon they will be guilting you like 'are you going to pay for the sins of your fathers'?' It's also how the minority sunnis in shia, yezidi, hindu, sikh, buddhist dominated regions gain leverage and gradually try to take over.

#17 #15 People have been stopping support for the "mainline" churches for years. All of them peaked in 1965 and have lost 2/3 to 3/4 of their members since then. This is a dying gasp of irrelevant organizations.

Note no mention of more conservative and Biblical denominations--Anglican Church of North America, Presbyterian Church in America, etc. in the article. We do have better sense.
