Officials reportedly said the decision is based on legal interpretation, not policy

The decision applies to roughly 4,000 nonviolent inmates

Democrats in Congress and groups including the ACLU have put pressure on Biden to use his presidential powers to reverse the Trump DOJ policy

A nationwide spike in COVID cases fueled by the Delta variant means the emergency declaration will likely last through the rest of the year

#2 With the defunding the police movement, police resignations and now the COVID catch and program , look for the sure-to-come upswing in crime of all kinds. Guess I'll buy some stock in firearms companies and booze and beer companies--both essential goods.

#4 I kinda like the idea of home confinement for NON-VIOLENT prisoners.

Ankle Bracelets to monitor and track locations. Total bedroom only CCTV monitored confinement when not at work or at pre-authorized medical appointment.

Make them pay for their own confinement. Allowing more space for the serious dangerous types.
