A total of 509 migrants were stopped near Hidalgo, Texas, on Tuesday night after crossing the United States-Mexico border in a caravan

It comes after a group of 336 individuals has been stopped and taken into custody Tuesday morning near La Grulla, Texas

The encounters were reported by the U.S. Border Patrol's Rio Grande Valley Sector, which last week stopped more than 20,000 migrants
